How to improve Samsung Galaxy Note 2 battery life


Samsung Galaxy NoteII features a 5.55-inch HD Super AMOLED screen with 1280 x 720 resolution, 1.6 GHz Quad-core Exynos GPU, 2GB of RAM, 8MP Primary Camera and 1.9MP Front Camera. The device is run on a mommonth 3100 mAh Li-lon battery for optimum battery life.

Maximize the Battery Life


  • Samsung Galaxy Note II has a built-in Battery Manager and user should become familiar with it. To do view the Battery Manager, go to Setting > Battery. Everything which consumes Battey is displyed here. Applications consuming huge amount of battery is advised to be removed unless frequently used.
  • If the average Battery life suddenly changes after installing a new application, consider removing it. Poorly written apps can affect overall Battery life.
  • Avoid third-party appscsuch as "Task killer" or "Battery  Manager" . Most of them do more harm than prevent it.
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II has 5.55-inch display screen using Super AMOLED technology which is great for viewing images and videos. But evan it's an OLED; the size itself can drain more battery. Adjust the brightness and timeout to save more energy. Go to Notifications bar > Select Display > Select Automatic Brightness. 
  • Turn off Smart Stay feature if it's not in use.
  • Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Auto-Sync if they are not in use. Hold down the notifications bar to disable them.
  • Activate the 'Power Saving Mode' which will make the device conserve energy under low battery state.
  • Limit background applications which do not require any updates. Go to Settings > Data Usage and then scroll down to view applications consuming a lot data in the background. To turn off data background, check the "Restrict Data Background." The less applications consuming data in the background, the more battery power is saved.
  • Depending on how much you use the Samsung Galaxy Note II, it is recommended to bring your charger.
